| Leadership Camp provides Korean
American youth with an invaluable opportunity to develop leadership abilities
in the context of Korean American identities. Participants will engage in
lectures, workshops, group discussions, and team-building activities as well as
interaction with motivational speakers. |

| This class provides Korean American
youth with an opportunity to understand their ethnic and cultural background
and help them establish a solid foundation of Korean American identity.
Participants engage in lectures, group discussions and debates, games and
various cultural activities. |

Out-of-State Cultural Visit to LA

| This program provides
non-Californian Korean American youth with an invaluable opportunity to broaden
Korean cultural experiences. Participants engage in lectures on Korean American
identities, workshops, group discussions, cultural activities and site visits
to Korea Town and university campuses. |

Korean History Quiz Contest
|
| This event is designed to promote
Korean American youth to learn more about Korean history and Korean American
identities. The contest proceeds to primary, consolation and final rounds. The
contest’s first, second and third place winners receive scholarships of $1,000,
$600, and $400. |

Korean American Day Art Contest

| This contest is designed to
celebrate the Korean American Day (January 13th) and experience the Korean
culture. The winners’ art work is exhibited in Korean Town and Korean Education
Center in December and January. |

Music LA Program
|
| To celebrate the Asian and Pacific
Islander American Heritage Month, the Department of Cultural Affairs sponsors
Music LA which provides the community with the opportunity to experience the
rich diversity and culture of Los Angeles. The program offers four traditional
Korean music classes for beginners: Samulnori I, Salmunori II, Gayageum, and
Korean Traditional Dance. Participants expose to and experience Korean music
and cultural heritage. |
